Topic 17 – Application Software

APPLICATION SOFTWARE

It is a group of programs designed to accomplish a single task or a group of related tasks. Word-processing, graphics databases and spreadsheets are examples of application software.

It is further classified into two categories:

1. User-designed application software
2. Ready-made application software

 

As I mentioned during lesson, computer users prefer to purchase ready-made application software. You might need to discuss and find out the answer with your peers.
